Not your average BOOKBAG!!

Ok so I know this is supposed to be about all the trends and what not but I couldn't help but show off this Adorable "book bag” I just purchased!!! Back packs are just plain ugly and I'm stubborn and refuse to wear one, I'm not even a fan of totes. Sooooo when I laid my eyes on this bag I had to have it! Honestly have you seen a cuter "back pack"? It's the perfect size fits all my notebooks and even a book or two along with all my other girly junk.  For $25 what a SCORE!!!

It's about that time

Hitting September here in a few days Ive noticed our summer nights have become much more chilly. It's starting to become the perfect time for the famous CARDIGANS!!! I will be the first to tell you I live in my cardigans once there is a slight resemblance of fall in the air. They are so easy to just throw on and leave and still look put together with a few simple accessories. For those of you who are students most of you just throw on a pair of "PINK" pants and the obnoxious UGGS and run to class, try something new! I'm infamous for throwing on a pair of leggings,a cardigan and scarf and I'm out the door.(Trust me when I tell you it looks a lot more pulled together and is just as easy to throw on) Now for those of you who want to take the cardigan out for a night on the town it can be just as easy but add a few more accessories. Try pairing your cardigan over a dress and cinch it in at the waist with a fun belt or throw it over a pair of funky patterned tights and some booties. You can accessorize however you'd like have fun with it, I happen to like to stack on some chunky bangles and a statement necklace or earrings! Sooooooooo when in doubt whip out your cardigans, THEY WILL NEVER FAIL YOU!!!

Stay in the Sheer!

When I think of anything sheer I tend to think of styles from the 70's. Fall collections are bringing back the sheer this season with blouses and even skirts. Tops are kind of common sense; you can wear one alone with a bra underneath or if you’re uncomfortable with that throw on a thin cami under it. I happen to love it over those leather leggings Kourtney Kardashian is wearing pictured below, that being said ill be scoping out a pair very soon! As for a sheer skirt I can’t say I am sold on them yet but if you choose to try one out pair it with something solid on top. Please do not pair a sheer top with a sheer bottom that's just tacky and showing way to much skin. Most of the sheer skirts I have seen have an inner lining that comes right passed your butt, so don't worry you won’t be flashing anyone!!

Flower girl?

I know we all used to wear headbands when we were little girls but their acceptable at any age. Florals are popular now as I have mentioned before nails, dresses, shorts you get it. Flowers in your hair I THINK YES! These headbands I have been seeing are so cute and fun and can go with just about anything. The thing I love about them is you can even easily make them grab yourself a cloth headband,a funky flower and fabric glue or even superglue (all together under 10 bucks at craft store)and put it together. If you make it yourself which is super easy you know you wont be seeing someone else walking around with the same one plus its just fun to make something yourself. So pick one up try it out, wear it how you want!

Headband was bought at some boutique in old River $6.00

Leather PLEASE!!!

leather 2012

For those of you have not noticed yet (which if you live in a mall like me you should know) there is A LOT of leather coming around for fall 2011! Previous seasons we were seeing lots of leather jackets but this season they have gone above and beyond, THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS! If your anything like me try pairing leather and fur together I LOVE!(pictured in the topknot article) Leather shorts and skirts look great with a pair of black tights underneath and a pair of booties which can pull you all the way through fall. For those of you daring enough to try a dress keep it simple with accessories because the leather alone is strikeing enough. Also PLEASE do not mix leather; one piece alone is enough to make a statement. Mixing leathers such as a vest with shorts or skirt looks like you just jumped off the back of a Harley. DO NOT DO IT! That being said take a risk try out some leather and have fun with it!

Jumpsuit anyone?

For those of you who can pull this look off I envy you and those long legs because these are so HOT right now! At first I thought these jumpers were tacky, more like something you would see in the 70's but the more I see of them the more I love them. and wish I could pull one off however I already feel funny enough wearing a romper so I can only imagine how my chicken legs would look in one of these! So point being those of you with long legs try one out, pair it with heels or a cute pair of booties some bracelets and your set with an easy go to outfit!  Ps. PLEASE  Avoid over accessorizing this!!!

Time for that Topknot baby!!!!

Can I say I am LOVING this new hair trend!!! So simple, so easy to do, so casual but sexy! You can wear this day or nights even rock it to work."Topknots" have become the more fashionable way of wearing a bun, they have been seen all over the runways and celebs have been catching on (who would have ever thought the bun would be back in) Honestly its super easy to do I don't like fussing around with my hair for long. The best part is that you can customize it to your own taste, whether you want it way high on your head, bangs with it, hair parted, with a mini poof you get the point. First time I tried it I looked it up on YouTube honestly you don’t even need to do that. Here's how to create the "topknot" Give it a try!

“TOP KNOT”

1: Slick hair back into a tight high pony (use hair spray if you have allot of baby hairs)
2: Gently tease the ponytail to give extra texture(easier when trying to create the bun
3: Slowly twist the hair around the pony's base where the rubber band is
4: Secure the bun in place with a few bobby pins and tuck in any little pieces that didn't make it along the way
5: VOILA enjoy your fun new do!

Seasons changing

Sad to really say this but summer is starting to unwind. Soon enough fall will be here and we will all go back to the awful long drawn out Ohio winters. Now after all that being said...I LOVE FALL FASHION!!! The scarves, the leggings the boots...oh the boots I’m wayyyyyy too obsessed with BOOTS!! So I have decided to dedicate this to none other than  BOOTS, pretty boots not you’re worn out beloved uggs. As I like to call them trendy alternatives and there are so many to choose from, ankle boots, booties, over the knee, dressy boots, casual boots, you get the picture!!If you decide to invest in an expensive pair make sure its something you can wear with everything and something that you can see yourself wearing still two years down the road. AND ALWAYS waterproof them no matter what material they are..trust me friends they will last A LOT longer, Anyways Here are some of the future trends coming your way for fall!!
